PRODUCT FAQ
-
What is the 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc Roll 268XA?
The 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc Roll 268XA is a high-quality abrasive disc that uses advanced technology to provide consistent finishes and longer-lasting performance.
-
Can you tell me more about its features?
Sure! This disc roll has a unique micro-replication technology that creates precise, uniform abrasives for improved consistency and reduced operator fatigue. It also features an anti-loading coating to help prevent clogging and extend disc life.
-
What size are these discs?
These particular discs in this roll measure at five inches in diameter and NH backing, with die 500X grit size classification for coarse sanding applications.
-
How many discs are in each roll?
Each roll includes approximately twenty-five individual adhesive-backed discs which adhere easily onto your sander or other tool of choice quickly.
-
Can I buy multiple rolls at once?
; Yes! If you need large quantities of these Trizact PSA film disks on hand, you can purchase four rolls per case directly through us here at 3M.
One of the characteristics that sets 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA apart from other 268XA products is its pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. This attachment makes it easy to attach 268XA to backup pads and hand blocks, similar to adhering a sticker. With a little pressure, operators have an abrasive that's ready to use, improving overall productivity and throughput.
3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA also has a water-resistant polyester backing, making it ideal for wet sanding applications. Using a lubricant like water can help wash away excess debris, preventing it from discoloring the substrate. While it may be run damp, the disc requires little water for effective results.
3M Science, Applied with 3M Microreplication Technology3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA uses proprietary 3M microreplication technology, encapsulating aluminum oxide mineral inside tiny pyramids. These pyramids are evenly distributed over a polyester backing. While conventionally coated abrasives have erratically spaced mineral, Trizact™ abrasives focus on uniformity. As pyramids wear, fresh, sharp mineral is exposed to produce a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish.
Great Versatility3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA is available in a range of grades, allowing operators to choose the right grade for their unique application. The lower the A-grade, the finer the grade. Operators should select a smaller grade, like A5, for a fine finish and a larger grade, like A35, for a coarser finish. Discs are color-coded by grade to reduce the risk of mistakenly selecting the wrong grade in a sequence.
Regardless of the grade selected, operators can rely on great performance with 3M™ Trizact™ products. Operators turn to 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA to bring workpieces one step closer to a matte, semi-gloss, or high gloss finish.
About the PSA AttachmentThis 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc roll 268XA has a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) to make for easy abrasive to tool attachment and increased efficiency. The PSA backing works much like a sticker, whereby operators can stick the disc to the tool by applying light pressure.
