The disc features a polyester backing, making it water-resistant and allowing it to be run wet or dry. Using a lubricant like water helps the disc run cool and wash away debris that could warp or discolor the substrate.

3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc 268XA uses 3M microreplication technology to produce an engineered surface of patterned, microscopic, three-dimensional structures resembling pyramids. This technology ensures uniformity in the spacing of the mineral, resulting in a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish.

PSA Attachment

The pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) on the back of 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc 268XA helps facilitate easy disc to tool attachment. Attaching them to a disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. The PSA disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for the next disc. Disc rolls offer the convenience of quickly tearing off a disc and eliminate the need to remove individual disc liners. PSA discs are used in conjunction with a PSA or 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.
