PRODUCT FAQ
-
What makes the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Paper Disc 732U different from other sanding discs?
The Cubitron II technology uses precision-shaped grain that lasts longer and cuts faster than conventional abrasive minerals. This means you can get more work done with fewer discs.
-
How many holes does this disc have, and what is the benefit of having that many?
The 5-inch disc has five holes for dust extraction. A good amount of holes ensures a better flow rate of the waste material while sanding, keeping it cleaner for improved performance.
-
What type of surface should I use these on?
You can use these on most metals as well as wood, composites, plastics, fiberglass and painted surfaces.
-
Is there any warranty or quality guarantee available with my purchase?
All products made by 3M are covered under our manufacturer’s limited warranty unless otherwise mentioned in the packaging or documentation provided to you at the time of purchase.
-
Where can I learn more about how to properly store and care for my sandpaper discs so they last longer?
The best place to start is by reading through our online resources available on both our website (www.3m.com) as well as in your product packaging/description. You could also reach out to us directly via phone/email/chat support if you need help understanding anything specific related to storage/care/maintenance etc..
These discs are perfect for a wide range of applications that focus primarily on removing stock. They are highly effective on a variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The C-weight paper backing is ideal for sanding applications where edge retention is not a primary requirement. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
The Productivity Advantage of 3M™ Stikit™ DiscsThe 3M™ Stikit™ system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside. Attaching them to your disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. The adhesive is pressure-sensitive, so the disc can be easily peeled off of the disc pad, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit™ disc must be pressed onto a Stikit™ backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
