PRODUCT FAQ
-
What is 3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ II Paper Disc 732U used for?
The 3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ II Paper Disc 732U is designed for heavy duty metalworking applications that require high levels of cut rates and long life.
-
How big is the disc?
The disc measures at a diameter of 6 inches.
-
What type of weight does the paper come in?
This paper disc comes with an 80+ C-weight which means it has a medium thickness making it ideal for grinding, blending and deburring metals easily with minimum wear and tear on tools.
-
Is it compatible to be attached to a die grinder?
It sure does! These discs are manufactured by specially engineered fibers that allow maximum abrasion yet remain cool without clogging the attachment system.
-
. How many discs do I get per package in case I´m interested in buying them wholesale?
. You would receive a total of 250 units shipped free-of-charge comprising fifty smaller packages, each including five individually wrapped discs ensuring extended shelf life thanks to dust resistance packaging suitable against environmental factors such as humidity or temperature fluctuations.
These discs are perfect for a wide range of applications, primarily focused on removing stock, and are effective on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The C-weight paper backing is suitable for sanding applications where edge retention is not a primary requirement. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
Hook-and-Loop Style Discs:A complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs is available for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs. Hookit™ sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
Clean Sanding:Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn't loading the cutting surface of the abrasives. The proprietary multi-hole pattern on Clean Sanding products evacuates dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products. This hole design doesn't require alignment of holes with the disc pad, making disc changes quick and simple. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate dust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. All of this adds up to increased productivity and reduced material consumption. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum (both sold separately).
