Each case contains 500 discs, which are organized in groups of 50 for easier handling.
What size is each disc?

Each disc has a diameter of 5 inches and does not have a designated hole pattern (NH means “no-hole”). This makes it compatible with various hook-and-loop disc pads using pressure-sensitive adhesive technology.

The 3M™ Hookit™ Microfinishing Film Disc 468L is a sanding and finishing product designed by 3M. It comes with a hook and loop attachment system that allows for quick disc swapping during multi-step sequences. This feature increases productivity and throughput.

3M™ Hookit™ Attachment

For workspaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt, 3M offers a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs. These sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life. The backup pad typically attaches to a tool like a random orbital sander (also sold separately).

The 3M™ Hookit™ Microfinishing Film Disc 468L is engineered using micron-graded silicon carbide, a mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications, such as sanding and finishing during paint prep. This mineral produces a brighter finish and offers greater tear-resistance than comparable paper products, making it ideal for high-production environments. The product also features a polyester backing that adds to its durability.
