PRODUCT FAQ
-
Hello! I'd be happy to help you with information about the 3M™ Low-Static Polyimide Film Tape 5419 Gold. Feel free to ask me anything!
Is the 3M™ Low-Static Polyimide Film Tape 5419 Gold suitable for high temperature applications?
-
Yes, this tape is designed to withstand high temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) without leaving residue or damage when removed.
Can the tape be easily cut and applied by hand?
-
Absolutely! The tape is easy to cut by hand using scissors or a knife, and it can be applied smoothly on various surfaces.
Does the low-static feature make this tape ideal for use in static-sensitive environments?
-
Definitely! The low-static properties of this tape reduce the risk of attracting dust and other particles, making it perfect for static-sensitive areas like cleanrooms or electronic manufacturing facilities.
How many rolls come in a case of the 2 inch x 36 yards x 2.7 mil size?
-
Each case contains six rolls of the 2-inch wide by 36 yards long by a thickness of 2.7 mils each. It's convenient for stocking up on your favorite tape!
The 3M Tape 5419 employs a proprietary technology that ensures extremely low electrostatic discharge when unwinding and removing from the Printed Wiring Board (PWB). Unlike conventional polyimide tapes that can generate over 10,000 volts during use, this tape overcomes the problem without any of the typical drawbacks of conventional "anti-static" or "static-free" tapes, such as variable adhesion and opaqueness.
Halogen Free Definition:"Halogen Free" refers to the definition set by the International Electrochemical Commission (IEC) 61249-2-21. According to this definition, the limits for halogen content in a product are as follows: maximum 900 ppm chlorine, maximum 900 ppm bromine, and maximum 1500 ppm total halogens.
