    3M™ Electroplating Tape 470, Tan, is specially designed to withstand the rigorous demands of electroplating and anodizing processes. It ensures clean removal without leaving adhesive residue.

  2. What size does this tape come in?

    This tape comes in a roll size of 3/4" x 36 yd and has a thickness of approximately 7.1 mils.

  3. How many rolls are available per case?

    There are 48 rolls per case which are boxed for easy storage.

  4. Is this tape suitable for outdoor use?

    Yes! The electroplating tape can be used both indoors and outdoors, making it very versatile for various applications requiring temperature resistance up to 250°F /121°C.

  5. Does it provide good adhesion on metal surfaces?

    Yes! Thanks to its excellent conformability and good adhesion properties to metallic surfaces such as brass or copper, our Electroplating Tapes ensure no rework during operations that involve plating or painting multiple layers.

Rugged Reliability

3M™ Electroplating Tape 470 is designed to withstand the harsh and challenging conditions associated with electroplating and anodizing processes. Its flexible vinyl backing conforms to irregular or curved surfaces. It is resistant to most common solvents and has excellent resistance to chemicals used in electroplating and anodizing. This tape can operate at temperatures of up to 170°F/76°C. After use, the tape can be removed cleanly from most surfaces. The backing can also accept marker ink and is printable using a thermal transfer process, making customization relatively easy when needed.
