3M Repulpable Strong Single Coated Tape R3187 is a repulpable, bleached high strength extensible kraft paper backing coated with a high-tack, transparent repulpable adhesive. This single side tape is ideal for a variety of splicing, tabbing and roll closing applications on a wide variety of papers and temperatures.

3M Repulpable Strong Single Coated Tape R3187 is a 7.5 mil single coated repulpable tape. It features a strong, extensible, bleached kraft paper backing that is specifically designed to withstand the demanding conditions of the printing environment. The backing is engineered to provide optimum strength for tasks such as splicing, tabbing, and roll closing. With its high shear strength, this tape is coated with a high-tack, clear, repulpable adhesive that is specially formulated to bond to heavy grades of paper. Additionally, this tape performs exceptionally well at higher temperatures and is available in both blue and white.

High-Tack, Heat-Resistant Adhesive

3M Repulpable Strong Single Coated Tape R3187 features a repulpable, high-tack transparent adhesive that is specifically designed to provide excellent bonding strength to a wide variety of paper products, including heavy grades of paper. This heat-resistant adhesive is capable of reducing splicing failure and performs reliably in web applications at temperatures as high as 350F/176C.

Repulpable Adhesive won't Contaminate Paper Mill Broke

The repulpable adhesive used in 3M Repulpable Strong Single Coated Tape R3187 ensures that there is no contamination of paper mill broke by non-repulpable splice material. This product meets or exceeds the standards set by TAPPI UM-213, procedure A, and is FDA compliant with 21 CFR 176.170 for components of paper and paperboard that come into contact with aqueous and fatty food.
