Useful in Many Industries

The Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel is a versatile tool that can be used in various industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, and metal fabrication. It is designed to deburr, blend, and finish a wide range of workpieces including threaded pipes, tubular goods, rotors, shrouds, turbine buckets, ducting, gears, sheet metal, engine components, machined parts, and stamped parts.

The Benefits of 3M Ceramic Precision-Shaped Grain and Scotch Brite Web

The Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel offers all the advantages that operators have come to expect from Scotch-Brite abrasives. It features load resistance and a responsive open web. What sets this wheel apart from other Scotch-Brite abrasives is the incorporation of 3M Precision-Shaped Grain. This proprietary mineral is woven throughout the abrasive and is specifically engineered for hardness and strength. The sharp-cutting mineral is balanced by soft, buoyant nylon fibers that adapt to surface irregularities and contours. The gaps between the fibers allow debris to escape, minimizing loading. The combination of the web and mineral enables the wheel to aggressively tackle the substrate without compromising predictable results.

Ideal for Robotic Deburring

The Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel is an excellent choice for robotic deburring due to its wide range of conformability options and high consistency. It efficiently removes burrs and sharp edges in end-of-arm tooling operations, delivering consistent performance throughout the entire lifespan of the abrasive.

The Difference Is in the Construction

Unlike convolute wheels, unitized wheels have a layered construction rather than being wound around a core. The open web of the unitized wheel is cured and compressed, providing added strength and durability. This unique production method makes unitized wheels particularly suitable for edges and contours. Additionally, these wheels can be run in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. For optimal performance, 3M recommends using the Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel with the 3M Die Grinder (sold separately). If an extended wheel is required, the 3M Extended Die Grinder (sold separately) and the 936 unitized mandrel (sold separately) are recommended accessories.

Scotch Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheels for Maintenance Operations

The Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheels are ideal for maintenance operations. These hard-working and high-performance products are designed to withstand dirt, corrosion, and other contaminants while reducing the risk of altering part geometry. This allows you to complete your tasks more efficiently and effectively.
