The tape is designed to efficiently remove liners in a production environment. It offers high tack and good strength to liners, making it suitable for manual applications without the need for special equipment.
Specifications
3M Tabbing Tapes are available in standard widths up to a maximum of 1200 mm (48 inches) in increments of 3.2 mm (1/8 inches). The length tolerance for all widths is 0.8 mm (1/32 inches).
Recommendations for Use
- Before tabbing the tape, ensure that the tape liner edge is cut square so that the tab makes proper contact with the leading edge of the liner. Additionally, positioning the tabs at an angle over the corner enhances their performance.
- Tabs made with 3M Tabbing and Splicing Tape 5699 work best after allowing a 24-hour room temperature dwell following lamination.
