3M™ Cloth Belt 361F is a high-quality abrasive belt that is perfect for industrial professionals. The belt is made with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are bonded to a heavy polyester cloth backing. The backing is durable and heat-resistant, making it suitable for both wet and dry applications. The grades of P100 and lower are backed with YF-weight polyester, while grades higher than P100 are backed with slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester. This ensures that the belt is strong enough to withstand high heat and pressure, making it ideal for use on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that ensures the belt lasts a long time. 3M offers a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of belt sanding tools for many different metalworking applications. Wider belts are designed for wide belt sanders for flat finishing, while medium-width belts are generally used on a backstand for weld removal or on a feed-thru style flat finisher for imparting a finish on sheets or coils. Narrow belts can be used on backstands for grinding and finishing, or on file tools for finishing in right angle corners.
