PRODUCT FAQ
-
What type of abrasive material is used in the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Film Disc 775L?
The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Film Disc 775L is made with precision-shaped ceramic grain.
-
What size is the disc and how many are included in each order?
The discs measure 6 inches x NH and come with a pack size of fifty per inner box, then wrapped as a case pack containing two hundred-fifty.
-
Can these discs be reused or are they discardable?
While technically reusable, we strongly recommend using new ones for every use to ensure optimal results every time.
-
Are there benefits to using die number "600Z" on my project vs other available options?
If you need total grinding power efficiency from a repeatable, process motion perspective; going with Die #600Z® might yield better results than other disc variants.
-
Is there an ideal application that fit this product best?
The high-performance cutting capabilities of our revolutionary Ceramic Abrasive Grain make it well-suited for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to fine finishing across multiple surfaces and substrates.
Product Description:
These discs are perfect for a wide range of applications, with a primary focus on stock removal. They are highly effective on various substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides greater tear resistance than paper discs, resulting in additional durability and edge retention. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
3M™ Hookit™ Discs:
A complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs is available for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit™ discs are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as they tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs. Hookit™ sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
