3M Xtract Cubitron II Disc 775L features a 3M proprietary multi-hole pattern for improved dust extraction in finishing applications. Part of the 3M Xtract Series, designed for optimal dust removal. An innovative multi-hole pattern extracts dust better than 5- or 6-hole products increasing cut and dramatically increasing disc life. The design does not need to align with the disc pad holes, making switching the discs fast, easy and convenient. Featuring ceramic 3M Precision-Shaped Grain, a revolutionary adva

PRODUCT FAQ
-
What is the abrasive material used in 3M Xtract Cubitron II Film Disc 775L, and how many discs are there in a case?
The abrasive material used in 3M Xtract Cubitron II Film Disc 775L is Cubitron ll. There are 250 discs per Case.
-
Can you tell me what size the die of this disc is, and what grit it has?
The die size of this disc is six inches with a weight of Die 600LG (50/Inner). It also has grit rating - P400+.
-
Will I need an adapter to use these film discs or will they fit my current sander?
These film discs have a standard six-inch diameter which fits most sanders without requiring any adapters. You can simply attach them to your existing sander.
-
How long do these disks typically last before needing replacement?
These high-performance film discs can provide extended life due to their precision shaped triangular grain technology. However, their lifespan depends on various factors such as application type and operator usage.
3M offers a range of sanding discs for various applications, including stock removal on metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides additional durability and edge retention, making it ideal for heavy-duty use. For optimal results, use with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
Hook-and-Loop Style Discs:3M™ Hookit™ discs are available for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit™ discs are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as they tend to leave finer finishes. These sanding discs attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used for the extent of the abrasive life.
Clean Sanding Discs:3M's proprietary multi-hole pattern on Clean Sanding products evacuates dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products. The open coat construction allows for space between abrasive grains to help evacuate dust and other sanding debris, avoiding clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M™ Hookit™ Clean Sanding pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum (both sold separately).
Benefits:- Greater tear resistance than paper discs
- Hookit™ discs leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs
- Multi-hole pattern evacuates dust at a higher rate
- Open coat construction avoids clogging the cutting edge of the grains
- Load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials
- Increased productivity and reduced material consumption
