    This primer works effectively on metal, plastic/rubber and porous/non-porous surfaces.

  3. How do I apply the primer?

    Use a clean brush or swab to apply an even coat onto the substrate and let dry for approximately one minute before applying adhesive.

  4. Can I use this product with any cyanoacrylate adhesives?

    Yes, this primar can be used in combination with all types of instant adhesives (cyanoacrylates).

  5. Is this available in smaller sizes than the 4 L can?

    : Yes, it also comes in smaller volumes such as aerosol cans which offer better control and are easier to handle when working with small parts.

Understanding Instant Adhesives

Instant adhesives are fast-acting, cyanoacrylate-based formulas used in industrial and household applications. They are an acrylic resin that rapidly polymerizes in the presence of moisture, forming long, strong chains that join the bonded surfaces together.

To ensure a strong bond, cyanoacrylate adhesives should be applied thinly with pressure put on the bond for a few seconds. 3M instant adhesives apply right from the container and rapidly reach handling strength at room temperature. A single drop per square inch can bond many plastics, rubbers, metals, wood, and more. In 2012, an instant adhesive from 3M set a Guinness World Record for the strongest glue by lifting an 8.1 metric ton forklift in the air for one hour.
