It is made with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are bonded to a durable polyester cloth backing. The heat-resistant resin ensures that the belt can withstand high temperatures and pressure.
The grades of P100 and lower are backed with YF-weight polyester, while grades higher than P100 are backed with slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester. This makes the belt suitable for a wide range of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
