3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener SJ3753, is a black roll good with a non-woven backing for use with liquid adhesives and hot melts. It has a stem density of 400 stems per square inch (25mm). The mushroom-shaped stems interlock to supply very high tensile strength and replace mechanical fasteners in many applications.

Are there any limitations when using Dual Lock SJ3753?
While incredibly versatile and usable on various surfaces like glass, metal plastic, painted surfaces or other smooth substrates - we highly recommend applying these at room temperature (70°F) with surface cleaning taking place beforehand. It should also not be used where continuous exposure to solvents such as gasoline might occur. However outside these caveats –they should prove to have excellent performance even under high stress conditions like vibration movements resulting from constant usage patterns etc., provided they are correctly installed as mentioned in our technical data sheet/instructions manual!

How It Works
3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fastener SJ3753 is a roll good that features a polyolefin non-woven loop backing to facilitate attachment with hot melt or liquid adhesives to substrates. When two pieces of Dual Lock fasteners are pressed together, the stems flex and the mushroom heads slide past each other. After passing the opposing mating piece, the stems snap back into their original position, and the opposing mushroom heads interlock. These fasteners can provide high tensile strength but can be opened by simply cleaving or peeling open the closure. Alignment and re-alignment are easy with no special tools required. This means that these fasteners can be used to attach components before they enter the final assembly plant, helping to reduce the number of parts and the length of assembly time.
Stem Densities
Dual Lock fasteners are offered in three different densities (stems per square inch): 170, 250, and 400. Dual Lock fastener SJ3753 has 400 stems per square inch (25mm), offering the tightest hold, and can be mated to Type 170 or 250. Combinations of stem densities and the engaged area provide adjustable and proportional engagement and disengagement force to meet application requirements.
