What type of surface can this tape be used on?
This tape is ideal for bonding to smooth surfaces such as metals, glass, plastics and foams.

How easy is it to remove the tape if needed?
The adhesive used in this product has excellent holding power and bonds permanently. However, if removal is desired, it can generally be done without damaging the substrate.

Can I order smaller quantities or only cases of 20 rolls?
Unfortunately, we only offer this product by the case with 20 rolls. We do have a variety of other tapes available in smaller quantities though!

Is this tape waterproof?
Yes! This double coated tape features a polyester film carrier that withstands splashes from solvents and water.
Our 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9737 is a 3.5 mil double-sided tape mounted on a 55 lb. densified kraft paper liner. It has a thin polyester carrier with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that offers a balance of high initial adhesion and good holding power. This tape offers excellent temperature performance in various applications. It can perform well up to 300°F/149°C in the short term, and up to 260°F/127°C for days or weeks. However, results may vary depending on machine and web tensions, line speeds, nature of paper surface and application pressure. It adheres well to kraft and coated papers, and is commonly used for high performance splicing on paper, films and other continuous web processes. Notably, this product is offered in two colors clear and red. The red version can be used for visible splicing applications.

Double coated tape is composed of a paper, film, or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached.
