3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522 is an acrylic-based hook fastener that offers better performance and durability. It comes with a 3.5 mil (0.08 mm) polyolefin film liner and is an excellent alternative to zippers, screws, snaps, hooks, and other closures. The fastener has flexible J-shaped hooks, with about 300 hooks per square inch (46 hooks/square cm.), protruding from a woven backing. It is commonly used with 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Loop Fastener SJ3523 and can also engage with other 3M™ Loop Fasteners. Both the hook and the corresponding loop are preshrunk to ensure stability and flatness.

The backing of 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522 is coated with a plasticizer resistant acrylic-based pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive strength increases over time, allowing for some repositioning before achieving full bond strength. It is designed specifically for use with flexible vinyls and resists many plasticizers. The adhesive has good temperature and moisture resistance, UV stability, and great shear strength.
