PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What are the applications of Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Disc?

The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Disc is used for surface preparation, cleaning and finishing on a wide variety of materials like ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastic, ceramic, wood and composite. It also removes light rust, oxides, coatings or other surface contaminant.

  2. How long does the abrasive last in a 3M's Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE?

The Scotcch Brite product line by 3M products usually has longer lasting abrasives than similar products from competitors. Depending upon how much force and pressure is applied to each disc while using it to complete your task can determine how long the adhesive will remain effective.

  3. Can I use this with my angle grinder

These discs have a TR attachment system which primarily fits directly into drills that take 1/4” shank bits/systems so Angle mills etc may not be compatible however given such devices typically run at speeds much higher than recommended usage specs for these parts its potentially dangerous trying together them to work in tandem anyways. But do check manufacturer manual specifications before purchasing any new equipment.

3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Disc provides an extra cut and long life, while heavy duty web construction offers a resilient disc edge, helping to reduce tearing when pushed against corners and welds.

These coarse discs are perfect for heavy duty blending, grinding, refining, and deburring. The aluminum oxide material provides the discs with a high cut rate, and is suitable for use on a variety of substrates in professional metalwork applications, including ferrous alloys.

These small, quick change discs can be easily attached to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately). Discs’ grades are color coded for easy identification.
