Engineered for exceptional durability, faster results, and increased productivity, the 3M Cubitron II Roloc Fibre Disc 982C is a top-performing abrasive disc. It is constructed with 3M's highly advanced ceramic Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG), which is securely bonded to a rigid fiber backing. This disc is the perfect choice for medium to heavy-duty stock removal on carbon steel applications, including edge chamfering, beveling, weld grinding, and the removal of mill scale, pits, imperfections, and machining grooves.

3M Cubitron II products have set new standards for high-performance abrasives. The precision-shaped grain of 3M outperforms and outlasts conventional ceramic industrial abrasives, requiring less grinding force to achieve superior results. As a result, operators can grind faster and complete more parts per disc with reduced effort and fatigue.

To create the Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG), 3M engineers utilized their Ceramic Abrasive Grain and employed proprietary technology to form the grains into triangular structures. These structures are then electrostatically oriented on the backing, forming sharp peaks that maximize cutting potential. Unlike traditional abrasive grains that tend to gouge or plow, the PSG peaks slice cleanly through metal.
