This cushion tape is specifically manufactured for 20 mil applications. It is constructed with engineered acrylic adhesives. The adhesive on the linered (plate) side of the tape is designed for mounting photopolymer plates, ensuring easy plate removal and reducing worker fatigue and plate damage. The adhesive on the non-linered (sleeve/cylinder) side is designed for mounting to flexographic printing cylinders or sleeves, providing easy application at mounting and clean removal when demounting.
Easy with Reduced Air Entrapment
3M air release liners have a unique crosshatched pattern, unlike other mounting tapes that use a pebbled or flat release liner. The embossed crosshatched pattern creates micro-channels in the easy mount adhesive, allowing entrapped air to escape. This results in virtually bubble-free mounting, as air bubbles disappear between the tape and plate, as well as between the tape and sleeve or cylinder. The smoother surfaces achieved through this technology enable faster setup, cleaner print quality, and higher productivity. The adhesive also maintains tight contact, reducing edge lifting.
