3M Cushion-Mount Plus Plate Mounting Tape E1215Hwith easy mount adhesive is designed for mounting flexographic print plates to cylinders or sleeves. This orange foam mounting tape provides high quality light combination print.

Bubble Free Flexographic Plate Mounting

3M Cushion-Mount Plus Plate Mounting Tape E1215H is an orange foam tape that provides high-quality light combination print. It features an air release feature that allows for bubble-free mounting, ensuring a clean and smooth plate removal. This tape is specifically designed for mounting photopolymer plates to flexographic printing cylinders and sleeves, making it ideal for combination, process, and solid printing processes. Additionally, it is commonly used in narrow web presses to print tags and labels.

3M flexographic plate mounting tapes are engineered to provide a very tight caliper tolerance, allowing printers to use tape from different manufacturing lots while maintaining tight print registration. The compressible foam construction of the tape ensures its durability and ability to withstand long and high-speed print runs.

This cushion tape is specifically manufactured for 15 mil applications and is constructed with engineered acrylic adhesives. The adhesive on the linered (plate) side of the tape is designed for mounting photopolymer plates, while the adhesive on the non-linered (sleeve/cylinder) side is designed for mounting to flexographic printing cylinders or sleeves. This design allows for easy application during mounting and clean removal when demounting.

One of the key features of 3M Cushion-Mount Plus Plate Mounting Tape E1215H is its air release liners. Unlike other mounting tapes that use pebbled or flat release liners, 3M air release liners have a crosshatched pattern. This unique pattern creates micro-channels in the easy mount adhesive, allowing entrapped air to escape. As a result, air bubbles disappear from between the tape and plate, as well as between the tape and sleeve or cylinder, ensuring virtually bubble-free mounting. This not only speeds up the setup process but also provides smoother surfaces for cleaner print quality and higher productivity. The adhesive of the tape also maintains tight contact, reducing edge lifting.
