An American Original
Born from a time when auto body repair involved heat-shrinking metal and pouring lead, Bondo® Body Filler has been a trusted solution for vehicle owners and auto body professionals for many years. This two-part solution consists of a resin-based filler and a hardener. The hardener, included in a tube with the filler, acts as a catalyst when blended together, creating a chemical reaction that cures the product. The fast-curing body filler spreads easily and adheres well to properly prepared surfaces.

Bondo® Body Filler can be shaped within minutes and can be applied multiple times to fill holes, deep scratches, or dents. It is formulated to be non-shrinking and durable, providing a long-lasting repair. Once fully hardened, which typically takes 25 minutes or less, the filler can be sanded using various grits to achieve a smooth finish. In addition to its use in repairing vehicle surfaces, Bondo® Body Filler is also suitable for repairing other surfaces such as wood, steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and concrete. The product includes easy-to-follow directions for creating the right mix for your auto repair job and allows for same-day repairs.

Use During the Fill Stage of the 3M™ Body Repair System
Even a small repair can initially seem complex. That's why 3M has developed the Body Repair System, which simplifies the entire automotive body repair process into four stages:

Stage 1 - Prepare: This stage involves tasks such as pulling dents, removing paint and rust, and effectively masking the area.

Stage 2 - Fill: During this stage, holes are patched with reinforced filler, and the filler is smoothed and shaped before painting.

Stage 3 - Paint: This stage includes painting the area, as well as blending and smoothing primer and paint.

Stage 4 - Finish: The final stage ensures showroom-grade results by removing small defects, sealing, and polishing clear coats and other painted surfaces.

3M provides premium products, including abrasives, tapes, body fillers, and tools, for each stage of the Body Repair System. This comprehensive system allows for easy, efficient, and successful body repairs.
