PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What makes the Scotch-Brite™ Precision Surface Conditioning Disc different from other abrasive discs?

The Scotch-Brite™ Precision Surface Conditioning Disc is designed to create a consistent, uniform finish without leaving any unwanted scratch patterns. The unique construction and non-woven fibers offer an improved cut rate and increased durability compared to traditional abrasive discs.

  2. Can I use this disc on all types of surfaces?

Yes! You can use the Scotch-Brite™ Precision Surface Conditioning Disc on stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloys, carbon steel, brass, bronze and other metals as well as composites or plastics.

  3. How long does one disc last before it needs to be replaced?

It depends on how much you use them and on what type of surface you are using them. But our precision surface conditioning discs have been found to last longer than conventional abrasives under very high loads.

  4. Is a specific tool required for using these discs?

You don't need any specific tools! These sanding pads feature a hook-and-loop backing that works with your already-existing power sanders and rotary tools so there’s no hassle in switching out equipment altogether.

  5. . Are these safe for food contact surfaces?

. This product has not been documented as suitable for incidental food contact applications therefore we do not recommend using it directly or indirectly against food-contacting surfaces
