  2. Is it easy to attach the disc pad face plate ribbed to my sander?

    Yes, it's very easy. The one-piece design makes installation a breeze - simply screw it onto your sander and you're ready to go!

  3. How many disc pad face plates are included in a case?

    Each case contains 10 extra hard, red ribbed face plates. This should give you plenty of pads for multiple projects.

  4. Will this disc pad face plate work on any type of material?

    Absolutely! Our Extra Hard Red Disc Pad Face Plate works well on a wide array of materials including metals, woods, plastics, and composites.

Choosing the right disc back-up pad is crucial for optimal abrasive performance. This 3M™ Disc Back-up Pad has a ribbed design around the entire face, which increases unit pressure during grinding. The added pressure helps optimize fracturing of the 3M Precision-Shaped Grain in our 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Discs, resulting in improved cutting speed and product life.

Added Stiffness for Heavy Grinding

For heavy grinding with coarse grade discs, our 3M™ Disc Back-up Pad Ribbed is the ideal solution. This upgraded back-up pad has an extra hard, stiff density, making it perfect for beveling and grinding large welds. For lighter grinding and finishing applications, a disc pad with a lighter density is recommended.
