3M Cushion-Mount Plus Plate Mounting Tape E1920S with easy mount adhesive is designed for mounting flexographic print plates to urethane sleeves. This pink 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) double coated foam mounting tape provides high quality light medium combination print.

3M Cushion-Mount Plus Plate Mounting Tape E1920S is a high-quality pink foam tape designed for combination print applications. This light-medium tape offers excellent performance in combination, process, and solid printing processes. Its unique air release feature ensures bubble-free mounting, while its resistance to lifting on press allows for easy and clean plate removal.

3M flexographic plate mounting tapes are engineered to provide tight caliper tolerance, allowing printers to use tape from different manufacturing lots while maintaining tight print registration. The compressible foam construction of the tape ensures durability and stability during long and high-speed print runs.

This cushion tape is specifically manufactured for 20 mil applications and is constructed with engineered acrylic adhesives. The adhesive on the linered (plate) side of the tape is designed for mounting photopolymer plates, while the adhesive on the non-linered (sleeve) side is designed for mounting to flexographic printing urethane sleeves. This ensures easy application during mounting and clean removal when demounting.

Easy Mounting with Reduced Air Entrapment

3M air release liners feature a crosshatched pattern, unlike other mounting tapes that use pebbled or flat release liners. The embossed crosshatched pattern creates unique microchannels in the easy mount adhesive, allowing entrapped air to escape. This results in virtually bubble-free mounting, as air bubbles disappear from between the tape and plate, as well as between the tape and sleeve or cylinder. The smoother surfaces created by this process enable faster setup, cleaner print quality, and higher productivity. Additionally, the adhesive maintains tight contact with reduced edge lifting.
