The biggest advantage of 3M™ Hookit™ Microfinishing Film Discs is that they use hook-and-loop attachment, which makes them much easier to remove and replace than traditional adhesive-backed discs. With no wasted time cleaning adhesive residue off of your backing pad, you can get more work done in less time.
Can I use these microfilm finishing discs on any type of material?

These Type D Microfinishing Film Discs are specifically designed for smoothing out hard paint finishes, clear coats, as well as plastic parts and sheet metals. That said, it’s always best to test out different products on a small area before using them widely.
Are there any special storage requirements for this product?

If stored properly in a dry environment between 60°-80°F (16-27°C) with the original packaging sealed until ready-to-use date may last up to two years from date manufactured.
How long does each disc typically last?

The longevity will depend heavily upon many factors including what level grit being used (i.e. lighter grits tend to saturate faster), type/condition/or configuration of machine being used as well project/application being performed.
Generally speaking under normal working conditions we expect each individual disk lasts approximately five minutes or longer if taken care properly.
