    The 3M™ Perfect-It™ Gelcoat Compound + Polish is designed to remove scratches, heavy oxidation and defects in gelcoat surfaces on boats or RVs as well as provide a high gloss finish.

  2. How much of the product will I need to use?

    It depends on how large the surface area you are treating. As a general rule, one quart should be enough for an average-sized boat or RV.

  3. Can this product be applied by hand or does it require special equipment?

    This product can be applied by both machine and/or hand, however using a machine polisher will produce better results.

  4. Is this product safe to use on all types of gelcoats?

    Yes. Our formula works great on marine, RV and industrial gelcoats regardless if it's new or weathered from exposure to salt water & sunlight.

  5. To what extent does the polishing compound restore faded fiberglass finishes?

    :The 3M Perfect-it Gelcoat Compound+Polish helps restore severely oxidized fiberglass surfaces with deep cleaning agents that break down dirt and grime while restoring color and shine. Keep in mind though; prior damage such as cracks may require additional steps like compounding before being able to polish for best results.
