Scotch-Brite Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core cleans and deburrs a variety of hard metals. Its a heavy-duty abrasive designed to deburr edges and cutouts, provide edge break and slight edge rounding, finish and clean substrates of mild surface contaminants from metal sheet or coil.

Scotch-Brite™ Flap and Cleaning Brushes offer a range of options for deburring and finishing. The Scotch-Brite™ Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core is a highly regarded brush for its aggressive deburring capabilities and consistent, soft finish.

This Scotch-Brite™ brush is made with coarse (CRS) aluminum oxide mineral and has a hard density (7), making it particularly strong and durable. While other brushes, such as the Clean & Finish or High Strength Flap Brushes, may cut more softly, this brush is ideal for heavy-duty deburring and finishing. The choice of abrasive depends on the specific application.

Durable Construction of Scotch-Brite™ Cleaning Brushes

Scotch-Brite™ cleaning brushes are engineered by attaching circular sections of non-woven material to a cylindrical core. These brushes are commonly used for coil cleaning prior to coating, deburring, reclaiming sheet and coil, and scale/oxide removal. The brush has an arbor hole to accommodate a shaft and may be secured in place with a flange and key. The steel core adds durability to the brush when it is run on finishing equipment. Adding a lubricant or coolant when cleaning can help wash away swarf and reduce loading, extending the brush’s service life.
