By aligning the connections on the facepiece and filter and pushing until you hear a click, wearers can have confidence that the filters are properly installed. The Secure Click filters are also dual-flow, making breathing easier.
This particulate filter is made with proprietary Advanced Electrostatic Media (AEM), which consists of highly charged microfibers arranged in an open formation. This design enhances the capture of airborne particles while still allowing for greater passage of air through the media. The filter is both flame and water resistant, ensuring durability and reliability.
The D3096 particulate filter can be used in a variety of applications, including grinding, sanding, and welding. It is effective in filtering solids such as those found in minerals, coal, iron ore, cotton, flour, and certain other substances. It can also filter liquid or oil-based particles from sprays that do not emit harmful vapors, as well as metal fumes produced during welding, brazing, cutting, and other operations involving the heating of metals.
In addition, the D3096 filter can help reduce exposure to radioactive particulate materials like uranium and plutonium, as well as asbestos. It is recommended for relief from nuisance levels of acid gases such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and chlorine. Nuisance level refers to concentrations that do not exceed the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) or other applicable government exposure limits, whichever is lower.
Please note that the D3096 filter is not suitable for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH), sandblasting, or environments that contain hazardous levels of substances.
