    Yes. The formula of the compound includes high-quality wax to add shine and glossiness to the surface after application.

  3. Can I apply it by hand or does it require a machine polisher?

    Both options are available. You can use this product with a rotary buffer or dual-action sander for larger boats or apply by hand using a foam applicator pad for smaller areas.

3M™ Perfect-It™ Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound + Wax features a fast-cutting formula that removes moderate oxidation weathering, dulling, chalking and scratches from gelcoat surfaces. This marine compound is excellent for boats, watercraft and RVs. It includes a durable wax, which means you can often compound and wax in one easy step with no polish required.

This 3M™ marine compound is formulated to stay wet for a long time on the compounding pad and on the surface. This means you don’t have to stop compounding as often to change pads or apply more material. It leaves a glossy finish that helps protect against weathering.

3M™ Perfect-It™ Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound + Wax is part of a family of gelcoat finishing products.
