    The Stripe Off Wheel features a durable rubber construction that "bounces" away adhesive residue as the tool spins, effectively erasing decals and stripes with minimal operator effort.

  3. Is it safe to use on all types of surfaces?

    While the wheel can be used safely on most automotive finishes (including clearcoat), we recommend test-ing an inconspicuous area first. As well as before beginning any painting ta-sk check testing the surface as it gives you confidence about your task.

3M Stripe Off Wheel is a high-speed decal remover designed to remove vinyl, decals, graphics, and double-sided molding striping and trim. Unlike abrasive mineral-based removers, this solid molded eraser wheel uses friction to remove decals, preventing scratches and damage to the finish of your car, boat, or RV.

It is important to note that while the friction created by this decal remover eraser wheel won’t damage most finishes, it is crucial to ensure that the substrate is not heat sensitive, as repeated friction causes heat. The 3M Stripe Off Wheel has a medium density rating and high-quality construction, delivering long-lasting, reliable, and efficient performance in removing unwanted decals, stripes, and adhesives from your vehicle.

This product is easy to use with most drills and standard rotary tools. The 3M Stripe Off Wheel 07499 has an optimum operating speed of 2,000 rpm (+/- 200) and a maximum operating speed of 4,000 rpm. It is important to avoid operating the wheel above the maximum operating speed, as it may compromise the product’s performance.
