This particular product comes in 120 grit, which is ideal for deburring and polishing applications.
-
How big is each disc and how many are there per order?
Each disc measures 3 inches in diameter, and one case includes 40 discs.
-
Can these discs be used on any type of metal surface?
Yes! These Scotch-Brite™ bristle discs can be used on all metals - including stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel.
-
Are these easy to use or do they require special equipment?
Scotch-Brite™ Roloc ™ Radial Bristle Discs are designed for quick yet efficient use with commonly available tools like rotary sanders powered by compressed air. However, make sure the right pressure settings are maintained so that both quality and safety will not be compromised.
Works Well on a Variety of Substrates
The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Radial Bristle Disc is a flexible bristle disc that achieves the desired finish using light pressure. It is designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and works well on a variety of metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. This disc is engineered for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications.
Ceramic Aluminum Oxide Provides Fast Cutting Action
The 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend is a ceramic mineral that is designed to enhance the toughness and hardness of the grain for a higher level of performance. This blend is engineered to fracture frequently and surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability. Ceramic abrasives are perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal as well as finishing. They are built to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications.
Roloc™ Attachment for Easy Swap Out of Discs
The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Radial Bristle Disc is designed to be used with portable hand tools, allowing operators to facilitate direct contact between the abrasive and the surface area at the exact location where it's required. The Roloc™ attachment makes changeouts between discs even easier. The disc locks securely with 1/2 turn on and 1/2 turn off, and the Roloc™ disc pad assembly is designed to fit a variety of tools with or without collets or chucks. It is ideal for use on right angle or straight shaft air tools.
The Many Benefits of Open Web Abrasives
Scotch-Brite™ abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven fiber matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.
