Scotch-Brite Bristle Disc, using ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles, provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the disc. The fast-running disc removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas.

    Each individual disc has an exceptionally long lifespan that lasts much longer than typical abrasives thanks to its continuous supply of fresh abrasives which reduces loading while increasing productivity.

  4. Can it withstand high-heat applications?

    Of course! It's durable enough to handle high heat processes without warping or peeling off. Additionally, the open web design keeps dust and debris from clogging up abrasive fibers.

Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc is a durable abrasive disc that outlasts wire and other abrasive discs. It is suitable for use on a variety of metals, including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. This versatile product is commonly used in industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications. The flexible bristles remain securely in place during normal use and can achieve the desired finish with light pressure.

These discs use a 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, which is a ceramic mineral that enhances the toughness and hardness of the grain for superior performance. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to fracture frequently, making it more effective than aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability. These ceramic abrasives are ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, as they cut quickly and can handle intense heat and stress applications.

Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products that incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. This combination creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is resistant to clogging, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance levels.
