PRODUCT FAQ
-
What type of material can the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll, CF-RL 7447, be used on?
The Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll, CF-RL 7447, is designed to be used on a wide range of materials such as metals including stainless steel and aluminum, plastics, ceramics and more.
-
How long does it last before needing to replace the roll?
It depends on various factors such as frequency of use and intensity of cleaning. However, the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll has been proven to have a longer lifespan compared to traditional abrasives which helps you save time and costs in reordering.
-
Is it easy to use?
Absolutely! Simply unroll your desired length from the roll then cut with scissors or a knife. The rolls can easily fit onto rotary sanding tools.
-
What are some advantages of using this product over traditional abrasives in my workspace?
; One notable advantage that sets us apart from traditional abrasives is our unique construction comprised high-strength fibers bonded together by resins designed for superior performance while producing less dust than typical sandpaper. This makes work spaces cleanable faster because less mess is left behind after cleanup. The surface created after polishing also keeps metal looking shiny for much longer than normal grids/cut-sheets would achieve.
-
Q: Can I buy smaller quantities if I need just one or two pieces rather than an entire case?
A:, Yes we do offer this option but unfortunately only through authorized retailers at present so check back frequently or sign up for any notifications about promotions/special offers happening now/ongoing etc.!
Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are a versatile abrasive product that can be used for a variety of applications. These rolls are available with three different abrasive minerals: silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc.
Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral that provides high cut-rate and long life. While silicon carbide breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish. Talc is a mild abrasive that can be used to achieve a satin finish or with polish to create a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications.
Scotch-Brite™ abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven fiber matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.
The general purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control. Wider width stock can be cut and paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or on an inline or oscillating sander to cover larger areas. The load resistance keeps the abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate.
