The size of each sheet is 2-11/16 inches x 9 inches.
-
How many sheets are included in each case of the 3M™ Paper Sheet 405U, 220 A-weight?

-
What does A-weight mean for this product?
The term "A-weight" refers to the weight classification system used for measuring and comparing paper density. In this particular case, using an "A-weight" grade reflects that this sheet is considered lightweight and easy to handle without tearing or curling during performance.
Few shops can do without abrasives in handy sheet form, and 3M™ Paper Sheet 405U is built to be indispensable. A flexible A-weight paper backing provides excellent conformability and silicon carbide abrasive mineral delivers exceptional finishes.
Silicon carbide abrasive sheets create a smoother finish than aluminum oxide products on most substrates. Although it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish. A resin bond construction provides superior grain retention while the open coat construction, along with the load-resistant coating, combine to provide excellent anti-loading characteristics.
These versatile sanding sheets contain the ideal abrasive grain type and grades for multi-step finishing processes.
Paper Backing for Conformability to ContoursThe light A-weight backing provides conformability over contours and into crevices and corners. The sheet can also be easily cut to fit a hand pad block, inline sander, or finishing or power sanders. Other applications include general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, prep prior to staining/painting and scuff sanding between coatings.
Recommended ApplicationsSilicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding. It is ideal for general purpose sanding on wood, metal, plastic, dry wall, fiberglass, glass and ceramic materials as well as contour blending.
