The 45 degree tapered edge provides flexibility and allows the sanded area to be feather-edged or more easily blended.

    The 3M™ Hookit™ Disc Pad comes in dimensions of 5 inches by ¾ inch with an external screw thread size of 5/16-24. It's small enough to be maneuvered easily, yet large enough to cover surfaces quickly.

  3. What are the benefits of using a Hookit Disc Pad versus traditional adhesive sanding discs?

    Using our hook-and-loop technology saves you valuable time as it allows you to change your grit levels up very quickly without stopping work and has less clean-up than when working with traditional adhesive sandpaper sheets. You can also re-use the disc multiple times before needing replacement due to its durable construction.

Product Description: 3M™ Hookit Disc Pads

The 3M™ Hookit disc pads are designed to make disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment easy. The Hookit hook-and-loop feature facilitates the use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. These disc pads have J-shaped hooks that are commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. They grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M™ Hookit™ discs and provide a finer finish than adhesive backed discs.

The Hookit system is ideal for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. With the Hookit system, disc pads can be easily removed and re-attached, ensuring a clean work environment and prolonging the life of the abrasive disc.
