PRODUCT FAQ
-
What is 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip-Resistant General Purpose Tapes & Treads 620 made of?
Our 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip-Resistant General Purpose Tapes & Treads 620 are made of a mineral-coated, slip-resistant material designed to provide traction on slippery surfaces.
-
How does it work?
The tape and tread have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that securely sticks to surfaces like stairs, ramps and ladders. They help prevent slips, trips, and falls by providing increased traction in both wet and dry conditions.
-
How long can the product last?
With proper installation techniques and normal wear-and-tear our Safety Walk products can perform effectively up to four years with some limited maintenance required over time
-
Is this tape visible?
Yes. The Clear color blends well into many different settings making implementation smooth.
3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip Resistant Tapes and Treads Series 600
3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip Resistant Tapes and Treads Series 600 have received certification from the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) for providing "high-traction." NFSI has determined that a wet static coefficient of friction (SCOF) greater than 0.60 is the criteria for "high traction." According to NFSI, floor surfaces that maintain this level of slip resistance when wet have been proven to reduce slip-and-fall claims by between 50% and 90%.
