3M Double Coated Tape 9795 stands up under tough conditions, yet provides stability and handles easily during processing. This double coated tape features a thin .5 mil black polyester film carrier coated on both sides with 3M high tack Adhesive 420, excellent for bezel, display and electronic component bonding. A printed 58-lb. PCK liner adds stability for efficient processing.

An Easy-to-Process Tape for Tough Applications

3M Double Coated Tape 9795 is a high-quality tape designed for a wide range of applications and use in various temperatures. This tape is made with a 5.7 mil PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film carrier, which provides excellent handling during processing, including slitting, die-cutting, and laminating. The face side of the tape is coated with 2.8 mils of 3M Adhesive 420, while the back side is coated with 2.3 mils of the same adhesive. This adhesive is known for its exceptional impact resistance, initial adhesion, and temperature resistance.

To ensure stability and efficient processing, the tape is backed with a 4 mil, 58-lb. polycoated kraft printed liner. This liner adds strength and support, making it ideal for die-cutting applications.

About Acrylic Adhesive 420

3M Adhesive 420 is a medium firm acrylic adhesive that offers excellent adhesion to metals and medium surface energy (MSE) plastics such as polycarbonate, ABS, acrylic, and polyimide. It is specifically designed to withstand tough application environments, with an operating temperature of up to 250°F/121°C and short-term temperature resistance up to 300°F/149°C. This adhesive also provides reliable bonding even at low temperatures as low as 32°F/0°C and offers impact resistance.
