  1. How does the 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Extended Liner 465XL work?

    The tape has a very strong, permanent adhesive on one side and an extended liner on the other. You just peel off the liner, apply the sticky side to your surface and it will bond quickly and securely.

  2. What types of surfaces is this tape good for?

    This tape works well on a variety of surfaces including smooth metals, plastics, glass and painted surfaces.

  3. Can I use this tape outdoors?

    Yes! This transfer tape is able to withstand both indoor and outdoor environments due to its strong adhesive qualities.

  4. Will it hold up under extreme temperatures or wet conditions?

    Absolutely. The 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape can handle temperatures between -40°F/-40°C and 300°F/148°C as well as resist water/moisture exposure without compromising adhesion performance.

  5. Do you sell one roll at a time or in bulk cases only?

    ; We offer this product in bulk cases containing 18 rolls per case with dimensions of Translucent-1/2in x 600yd x2mil (12.7mmx548.6m), but we also have smaller quantities for those who need less material for their project needs available through our distributor network.

Understanding Adhesive Transfer Tapes

In general, 3M adhesive transfer tapes are rolls of pressure sensitive adhesive pre-applied to a special release liner. The tape consists of adhesive only, and does not have any type of backing material. For application the tape is positioned adhesive side down to a surface and the liner is removed, exposing the backside of the adhesive to the joining surface.
