  2. What is the size of each disc in a case of five discs?

    Each of the five discs included in a case measures at 12 inches in diameter with a 7/8 inch center hole.

  3. Can I use this product on wood materials?

    Yes! The Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend GP Disc can be used on various metals as well as wood surfaces. However please note that it may leave dark marks on softwood that cannot be removed easily so we recommend trying first before using widely.

  4. Is there any risk of clogging using these discs during my project work?

    No worries! The non-woven construction prevents loading even when working with very soft aluminum or copper based alloys.

  5. I have never used this type of disc before - do you have any usage guidance to share?

    Certainly! We suggest starting with lower pressure grinding then increasing gradually to achieve uniform surface finishing. Depending on material hardness, holding frequent intervals after changing direction under angle from perpendicular contact positions will serve best results.

The Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend GP Disc is a versatile multi-purpose product that is perfect for general-duty industrial applications. This disc is one of five Buff and Blend materials, and the maroon GP material is moderately aggressive. It can be used to remove light oxidation, blend minor surface imperfections, clean surfaces prior to coatings, remove small burrs, and perform basic equipment cleanup. The disc's flexible open web conforms to workpiece contours, radii, and internal diameters. Its non-woven construction makes the disc spongy and responsive. If you need a tougher disc for higher-pressure applications, try using a Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend HP or HS Disc. Quick change discs are also available.
