PRODUCT FAQ

  1. What is EMI shielding tape used for?

EMI shielding tapes are designed to protect devices from electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  2. How does the embossed tin-plated copper foil help with EMI resistance?

The embossed structure of this 3M™ Embossed Tin-Plated Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape 1345 helps in creating an excellent conductive path which makes it a great solution for applications that require reliable, durable electrical connections.

  3. Can this tape withstand high temperatures?

Yes! One of the properties that make the 3M™ Embossed Tin-Plated Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape stand out is its ability to withstand high temperatures while still maintaining its effectiveness in shielding against electromagnetic interference.

  4. How many rolls come per case?

There are eighteen (18) rolls of 1/2 inch x 18 yards on a three-inch paper core included in each case.

  5. Are there any specials instructions needed when applying this tape?

The application process is simple and straightforward, but we recommend consulting our product datasheet and following all recommended protocols for best results.

3M™ EMI Shielding Tape 1345 has an embossed, deadsoft, copper foil backing with a pressure sensitive, acrylic adhesive that ensures firm adherence.

The tape's foil backing is coated with tin on both sides, which offers outstanding solderability and is resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The copper foil backing of the tape also provides excellent resistance against oxidation and discoloration.

When the embossed backing edges cut through the adhesive layer, contact between the backing and the application substrate is established. The tape can withstand a wide temperature range of 40 to 266 °F (40 to 130 °C).

This flame retardant tape is designed for grounding and EMI shielding in equipment, components, and shielded rooms. It is UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
