3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Loop Fastener SJ3523 is an acrylic-based hook fastener that comes with a 3.5 mil (0.08 mm) polyolefin film liner. It is a versatile attachment option that can be used in place of zippers, screws, snaps, hooks, and more. The fastener features a woven loop backing that is covered with thousands of soft, pliable napped loops, allowing for thousands of openings and closings. This loop fastener is often paired with 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Hook Fastener SJ3522, but it can also engage with other 3M™ Hook Fasteners. Both the hook and the corresponding loop are preshrunk to ensure stability and flatness.

Plasticizer Resistant Acrylic Adhesive

The backing of 3M™ Plasticizer Resistant Loop Fastener SJ3523 is coated with a plasticizer resistant acrylic-based pressure sensitive adhesive. This adhesive strength builds up over time, allowing for some repositioning before achieving full bond strength. The adhesive is designed specifically for use with flexible vinyls and can resist many plasticizers. It boasts good temperature and moisture resistance, UV stability, and great shear strength.

3M™ Hook and Loop Fasteners offer great design flexibility, fast product assembly, smooth and clean exterior surfaces, and excellent product performance in many applications. The fasteners consist of hooks and loops that engage to form a quick fastening attachment. To disengage the attachment, simply pull the strips apart by hand.

The use of a pressure-sensitive adhesive reduces or eliminates the need for sewing, solvent activation, dielectric or ultrasonic bonding, or bulk adhesive bonding. Pressure-sensitive adhesive products can be applied manually or automatically using a variety of equipment choices.
