3M Differential Double Coated Silicone Tape 9699 features a firm, silicone pressure sensitive adhesive coated on one side of a polyester film (PET) carrier and a high performance acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive coated on the other side.

The silicone adhesive provides a strong bond to silicone rubber and offers exceptional holding power to different silicone surfaces. The polyester carrier ensures dimensional stability and improved handling, making it easy to use for die cutting and lamination processes.

It adheres without the need for priming, making it ideal for hard-to-bond surfaces like silicone rubbers, foams, polypropylene, polyethylene, and other low surface energy materials. This tape is commonly used for silicone foam and silicone rubber keypad placement.

Environmental Performance

The bond strength of the 3M Differential Double Coated Silicone Tape 9699 increases over time and with temperature. It can withstand the effects of UV exposure and is resistant to various chemicals, including oil, mild acids, and alkalis. The tape is heat resistant for short periods at temperatures up to 350F (177C) and for intermittent longer periods up to 250F (121C).
