The Scotch-Brite KS Clean and Finish Disc, KS-DC, A/O Fine, 4-1/2 in x 3/4 in, SPR 020881A, 100 ea/Case is a non-woven abrasive disc that can be used for cleaning and finishing applications.

  2. What materials can I use it on?

This product works well with a variety of metals including aluminum, brass/broze/copper alloys, stainless steel as well as plastics or fiberglass-reinforced plastic composite material.

  3. How fine of a grit is it?

It has an aluminum oxide mineral abrasive which provides finer finishes than other mineral types while still maintaining longevity under high pressure as seen from the Spring Back feature.

  4. . What makes this unique compared to other products?

. The lightweight open-web construction helps reduce loading by shedding rather than trapping particles so you are able to achieve consistent results without worrying about clogging or rework.

A Light-Duty Flexible Disc

Scotch-Brite™ KS Clean and Finish Disc is a flexible disc that can match contoured or irregular surfaces without damaging the underlying part. It is perfect for light-duty, medium-pressure applications such as cleaning and surface preparation prior to paint or sealant, paint prep, scratch blending, and finishing on solid surfaces, painted panels, and other materials. It can be used on aluminum, stainless steel, other metals, plastics, wood, and fiberglass. The sheets can be rinsed for repeated use.

Discover the Scotch-Brite™ Advantage

Scotch-Brite™ abrasives are unique because of their nonwoven technology. Abrasive mineral is interspersed on synthetic fibers using resin, creating an open web construction. The spaces between the fibers allow excess material to escape, preventing the mineral from becoming worn down by debris. This keeps the mineral cutting sharper longer, enhancing cut performance and increasing abrasive service life. The spring-like nature of the fibers works well on contours and responds to subtleties on the surface. The responsive design effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils, and contaminants without ruining the base material, providing a consistent and uniform finish, part after part.
