Resistant to Fuels, Solvents and Chemicals

3M Polyester Film Tape 853 is a transparent polyester film tape with a specially formulated acrylic adhesive that is resistant to solvents and chemicals. This tape is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of processes where exposure to solvents is a concern. Its thin yet durable design makes it ideal for many applications. The backing of the tape has a low moisture vapor transmission rate, making it perfect for extended use. When used for critical label protection, this tape ensures that vital information remains visible. It can withstand a wide temperature range from -60F/-50C to 300F/150C. 3M Polyester Film Tape 853 is qualified to meet Federal Spec. L-T-100 Type 1 and also meets the flammability requirements of FAR 25.853(a) Appendix F Part I (a)(1)(ii).
