3M Double Coated Tape 9495LE provides high bond strength to most surfaces, including many low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene and powder coated paints. The acrylic adhesive also provides excellent adhesion to surfaces contaminated lightly with oil typically used with machine parts.

3M Double Coated Tape 9495LE is a clear tape that is 6.7 mil thick and provides a high bond strength to most surfaces. It is especially effective on low surface energy (LSE) plastics such as polypropylene and powder coated paints. This tape is commonly used for applications such as foam to powder coated painted surfaces, low surface energy plastic adhesion, lens bonding, logo bonding, touchpad bracket assembly, battery bonding, and more. It improves handling and ease of die-cutting, making it a versatile choice for various bonding needs. Double coated tape is typically composed of a carrier (paper, film, or tissue) that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner, which can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached. This tape can be applied by hand or with a dispenser, and there are various dispenser configurations available, ranging from manual to fully automatic.
