3M Heat Shrink Cable Sleeve MDT is a flexible, medium wall tubing that provides abrasion, corrosion and chemical resistance. This sleeve has a 3:1 shrink ratio that offers primary electrical insulation for 1 kV rated applications. The flame retardant polyolefin construction features a thermoplastic sealant to provide moisture seal protection.

    The 3M™ Heat Shrinkable Medium Wall Polyolefin Tubing MDT-4300-48A, 10/Case is commonly used to protect and insulate wire splices or connections.

  2. What are the specifications of the tubing?

    The tubing has a shrink ratio of 3:1 and a shrink temperature of between 90 and 135 degrees Celsius. It also offers resistance against abrasion, chemicals, UV light, and flame retardancy.

  3. Is this product easy to install?

    Yes! Simply slide it over the splice area you wish to cover, apply heat from a heat gun or other device until it shrinks firmly around your connection.

  4. How many pieces come in each case?

    Each case contains ten tubes with a total length of approximately five feet per tube.
