These discs are designed with a heavy, X-weight cloth backing and a resin bond that extends disc life in high heat and high pressure applications. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide grain offers quick and continuous cutting, making it suitable for many substrates. The 3M™ Stikit™ backing is easy to press onto the backup pad and remove, allowing for quick and easy grade changes.

The 341D features aluminum oxide, a popular choice among industrial professionals due to its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral creates a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, unlike traditional natural abrasives that dull more quickly. Its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength make it widely used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

3M™ Stikit™ discs come with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, making it easy to attach them to the disc pad. The disc can be peeled off just as easily, leaving a clean surface for the next disc. Stikit disc rolls eliminate the need for a liner and offer the convenience of tearing off a disc. A Stikit disc should be used with a 3M Stikit backup pad (sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
