Effective Fire Resistance in a Convenient Tape Strip

During a fire, it's crucial to properly seal doors, frames, and fire-resistant glass to prevent the spread of flames, smoke, and toxic gases. 3M™ Expantrol™ Flexible Intumescent Strip E-FIS is an excellent solution. This intumescent adhesive strip is conformable, flexible, and easy to apply. It has been tested for tensile strength according to ASTM D 412-83. This convenient rolled strip can be easily cut to fit a range of applications without special tools, saving time and money. The re-enterable adherent surface supports material that is designed to expand when exposed to intense heat, effectively sealing the gaps in door frames and glazing applications. This material forms a hard char that continues to resist fire and forms a smoke seal, helping eliminate the spread of smoke and other toxic by-products during and after a fire.
